Wellness in the New Year!

Happy New Year! I'm wishing you and yours a happy & healthy 2019.

I woke up this morning in beautiful Whistler, Canada on vacation with my family to some very EXCITING news from Tea Queens: the announcement of a new herbal wellness loose leaf tea line...and GORGEOUS new labels for all our teas!

Last summer I met up with members of the Tea Queens home office and one of the things we talked about was items consultants would love to see Tea Queens offer in the future. Herbal Wellness Teas were at the top of my list! So, you can imagine how happy this announcement makes me...and hopefully you too!

A bit more about herbal teas. Technically, they are not true teas, they are actually referred to as "tisanes" because they come from plants other than the true tea plant (Camellia sinensis). Most herbal teas are caffeine free and because of this, they can be brewed without the worry of steeping too long and becoming bitter in taste. The exception to this would be an herb like mate, which does contain caffeine and makes a great coffee substitute.

Without further adieu, here's a bit more info taken from the Tea Queens website about each new herbal tea blend.

Do you ever feel “out of it” sometimes? Like like world is moving by so quickly, almost leaving you behind? Take a moment for yourself and have a cup of Balance. Grounding herbs like lemongrass, rosehip, melissa leaf, and mallow blossom will bring you back to center and help you reconnect. An appealing blend of butterfly pea flower and berry leaves give this cup a unique color and delicious flavor.

Tea Queens selected apple pieces, mountain blueberry leaves, rosehip peel, sweet blackberry leaves, orange peel, blackberry leaves, melissa leaves, lemongrass, lemon peel, natural flavoring, whole mallow blossoms, blue butterfly pea flowers, and whole blue cornflower blossoms.

It always seems to happen a couple times a year... Everyone at work is suddenly sick and the kids come home from school with runny noses and scratchy throats. Now is the perfect time to brew up a cup of Be Well. Immune boosting ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and orange help your body heal and stay strong. Soothing for those already under the weather, helpful for those looking to avoid this season’s cold, Be Well is a kitchen must-have year round.

Tea Queens selected apple pieces, rose hips, turmeric inclusion, cinnamon, ginger, orange, natural mango flavor, marigold flowers, natural orange flavor, mango pieces, and black peppercorn.

Let’s face it; some days it’s easy to get worked up and carry stress with you. Some nights it’s hard to turn your brain off and fall asleep. Slow Down is here to help. A soothing blend of lemon, cucumber, and vervain, Slow Down is perfect for melting away tension and promoting relaxation.

Tea Queens selected lemongrass, apple pieces, nana mint, vervain, lemon peels, natural flavoring, marigold petals, and cucumber pieces.

Some mornings are low-energy and need a little pick-me-up. Hey, we get it. Skip the coffee and brew a big mug of Wake Up instead. A rich, spicy blend of toasted Brazilian maté mingles with cinnamon, citrus, and ginger adding up to a zesty and bold brew. With energizing and stabilizing compounds like xanthine, theophylline, and theobromine, Wake Up will give you energy and focus without the jitters or crash of a cup of coffee.
